Preparedness, Readiness, Response

As the spread of COVID-19 continues to affect us domestically, our team at Aramsco is working diligently to gather and share this information so our customers have solutions to support their customers.

At this time, there is significant pressure on the supply chain. The Aramsco team and our vendor partners are working diligently to maintain stock levels on applicable products. We remain committed to balanced distribution to ensure product availability to our existing customers whose operations rely on our products.

While we recommend that everyone follow the guidelines of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this guide is intended to provide information to support your product selection.

Disinfection

Because COVID-19 is new and novel, at this time no government-registered disinfectant products have been tested against this strain and no product labels have existing kill claims.

Some good news is that Coronaviruses such as COVID-19 are enveloped viruses, meaning they are one of the easiest viruses to kill with the appropriate disinfectant product. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and CDC state that if an antimicrobial product can kill a small, non-enveloped virus it should be able to kill any enveloped virus.

The CDC recommends routine cleaning and disinfection procedures (e.g., using cleaners and water to pre-clean surfaces prior to applying an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant to frequently touched surfaces or objects for appropriate contact times as indicated on the product’s label) are appropriate for COVID-19 in healthcare settings.

The following are products from our vendor partners that have indicated they are hospital grade disinfectants with EPA registrations. Please refer to the manufacturer’s materials for specific information.
